Charleston International Airport

CHS TRIP

Charleston, SC

 

WEBCO served as part of the construction team for the Charleston International Airport TRIP (Terminal Redevelopment and Improvement Project), led by Austin|HITT Joint Venture. This project included a renovation of the entire airport excluding the customs areas. All interior and exterior systems were replaced. This also included an additional concourse with 5 gates and a 3-story centralized checkpoint area. Building components included terrazzo, wall panels made in Italy, metal ceilings made in Germany, and a hurricane proof curtain wall system. All construction was completed while the airport stayed fully functional with no interruptions.

Charleston Air Force Base

NEXCOM Student Store

Charleston, SC

 

WEBCO provided a new student store for the Charleston Air Force Base. This project was constructed to meet USGBC LEED Silver requirements. The project was a roughly 20,000 SF new building with brick and stone veneer and a structural steel support system. Mechanical, electrical, plumbing, sprinkler, and fire alarm systems were installed. Surrounding sitework included retention ponds, landscaping, concrete curbing, concrete gutters, and sidewalks. Banks of reach-in freezers and refrigerators for retail stores were installed. Interior finishes included state of the art tile, casework, and cabinetry. 

Charleston International Airport

Rental Car Pavilion Addition

Charleston, SC

 

Construction of a new state of the art rental car pavilion for the existing Charleston International Airport. Work was completed on time, within budget, and while the airport was fully functional. The new building included precast wall panels with high end curtain wall systems. The interior was comprised of terrazzo flooring and wall panels made in Italy. WEBCO successfully worked with the CHS IT department and the rental car companies to install all infrastructure with minimal disruptions to the existing airport. 

Chapel Renovation

McConnell Air Force Base

Wichita, KS

 

Renovation of base chapel that included repairing the HVAC system, replacing the audiovisual system, repairing and partially replacing the roof,  and fully replacing   the
building's exterior EIFS system. The total remodel of the chapel involved taking the majority of the walls down to bare studs. WEBCO maintained a tight schedule and completed on time to the client's satisfaction.

Hugo Black Building

Birmingham, AL

 

Design and construction of one Magistrate Courtroom and four magistrate Judges Chambers.  Design submissions were made at 35%, 65%, 95% and 100%.  Each design delivery included a construction budget and schedule.  This approach allowed open communication regarding construction pricing and schedule impacts.  GSA and the Courts were able to make informed decisions regarding changes to the scope.  The result was a project that was delivered on time and within budget.

NIH/NIAID Fernwood Facility

Bethesda, MD

 

Design and phased construction of a 25,000 SF data center that included raised floor and redundant mechanical and electrical systems.  Provided RATTAL in-rack cooling unit, new UPS and switchgear tied into existing emergency generator, CRAC units designed for computer rooms, cable tray system, and pre-action sprinkler system.   Renovations included eat-in break room/kitchenette, systems furniture, and demountable partitions.
